After checkout. he accosted me in the store approaching the exit and asked to see my bag (smallish-3or4 smallish items plus a 24 bottle carton of beer. He attempted to open my bag and made a grab for it when I refused to let him view its contents. I asked him if was accusing me of stealing. He replied in the affirmative. I took my trolley back to the checkout I has just come from and presented my trolley for inspection along with my receipt for inspection. We stood there arguing alongside everyone else checking out and him being a right little peasant who kept asking me to go to a 'quiet little place out the back'. I refused to be led away like the thief he was accusing me of being. After I surrendered all the items I had bought and paid for, I was allowed to go. NEVER EVER TO RETURN AND A SOLICITOR TO SEE ON MONDAY. I'm 77 years old, with a bad heart, lungs and kidneys who was given an absolute maximum of a year to live, more than a year ago and, needless to say, not in good health and I don't need any wannabe hero trying to make a name for himself at my expense which is where the solicitor comes in. this may be avoided by my accuser making a public personal apology, in large print to be placed in sole position on your notice board with no other messages inhibiting any part of the LARGE PRINT message from your staff member. If this is done properly, I probably will cancel the solicitor. This can start and finish quickly or we can, if necessary end up in court.
